Southsouth is a restaurant + lifestyle store + gallery space. Located on the top floor of an outdoor mall, Southsouth has access to a large garden patio space which we also redesigned for al fresco dining and lounging. Taking inspiration from southern China’s historical brick architectural tradition, we designed a modern space full of tactility. Attention was to balance the brickwork with hand plaster walls, brass accents and plethora of plants suitable for the hot Hainan climate. Attached to the main restaurant is a fragrance & lifestyle store and a gallery event space.
